Chelsea will have to make one of their targets one of their most expensive ever signings if they want to bring him in during this transfer window.
Ahead of next Monday’s deadline, Chelsea continue to be linked with the likes of Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel and Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho.
Tottenham are also interested in Tel, so they are one team the Blues have to be wary off.
Garnacho does not appear to be attracting as much interest as Tel, but his valuation could be a big problem for Chelsea.

Manchester United now want £80m for Alejandro Garnacho
At one point during this transfer window, Garnacho’s price tag was thought to have been £60m. However, that figure has now seemingly gone up.
According to L’Equipe, United value the winger at £80m, which is the kind of number that could end up blocking a move.
Yet the same outlet claims that Chelsea “plan to return to the charge” for Garnacho’s signature after initial talks with United across several days and that Christopher Nkunku’s potential sale could help them generate some funds for the transfer.
Garnacho is not being forced out by Ruben Amorim, who has still been using him amid all of this speculation. But it has become quite clear that the United board are willing to offload the 20-year-old for the right price.

Alejandro Garnacho compared to Ryan Giggs
Playing on the left wing at United, Garnacho is trying to follow in the foot steps of Ryan Giggs.
Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino can actually see similarities between the Argentina international and the United legend.
Speaking about Garnacho on talkSPORT last year, he said: “One thing he’s got and I really like Garnacho for this, because he’s always prepared to run at players.
“Man United over the years, from Steve Coppell to Gordon Hill and many, many others that I can remember along the way where they just have wingers like Giggs. Just so many of them that are prepared to have a go at a player and take them on, he’s got that.”
Garnacho has produced some moments of absolute quality in a United shirt, including a stunning overhead kick against Everton last season.
Whether that makes him an £80m player worthy of being compared to a Premier League icon, though, is very debatable to say the least. Whatever the case, Chelsea look keen on signing Garnacho before the transfer market closes next week.
