In terms of arrivals, Chelsea did very little in the January transfer window.
Mathis Amougou was the only player who signed for Chelsea, with the midfielder joining from Saint-Etienne on an eight-year contract.
Rather, it was a transfer window that saw plenty of exits at Stamford Bridge, with the likes of Renato Veiga, Joao Felix and Ben Chilwell all leaving the club on loan. Veiga is thriving at Juventus right now, so his move there is working out.
The next transfer window, though, could be a different story. Arrivals are expected ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Chelsea and Enzo Maresca having meetings about potential summer signings
Maresca will want all of his focus to be on the pitch, especially with Chelsea’s form being really patchy right now.
The Blues lost to Brighton & Hove Albion again last Friday and have now dropped out of the top four.
It seems, however, that Maresca and the club have already been speaking about signings they could make for the 2025/26 campaign.
Speaking about what Chelsea and Maresca have been doing, Fabrizio Romano shared on his YouTube channel: “Today, Chelsea see Enzo Maresca as the right manager for [the] present and future. So they are building with Enzo Maresca and they are already having meetings for the summer transfer window with Enzo Maresca.
“So he’s 100% involved in the summer plan, preparing the signings, preparing the positions they want to cover in the summer.”
Some Chelsea fans have not been happy with Maresca recently, calling for Frank Lampard to replace the Italian.

Who could Chelsea sign?
It has become very apparent that Chelsea need to bring in a new striker this summer. Nicolas Jackson is currently out injured and there are issues with the Blues’ cover options.
Christopher Nkunku is not a natural centre-forward and is struggling to impact games out of position, while Marc Guiu is also out of action and is only 19.
Chelsea continue to be linked with Liam Delap, so at this point you would expect them to at least make a bid for the Ipswich Town star.
They are also likely to sign a new central defender, with Wesley Fofana having his own injury problems. Feyenoord’s David Hancko is one option for Chelsea if he does not join Juventus.
After an underwhelming January transfer window and a bad run of form, Chelsea fans will be pleased to hear that the club are talking about improving the squad for next season.
