Supporters have made their feelings known about all areas of the club during this season, with perhaps owner Todd Boehly facing more criticism than the rest.
Blues fans protested Boehly before the win against Southampton earlier this year, however the American had the last laugh when he was able to congratulate his players and staff at full-time at the City Ground.
Boehly was captured embracing James, Romeo Lavia and the manager as his side celebrated their exceptional achievement.
It is now likely to be a busy summer for the board at Stamford Bridge, with their transfer budget now firmly higher after securing Champions League.
Boehly excited about Chelsea future
Despite having very little experience in football before taking over at Stamford Bridge, Boehly has made sure to make himself informed on the club and the Premier League as a whole.
He has been closely involved in a number of the transfers made in the last three seasons, with one of those being the capturing of promising youngster Andrey Santos.
Despite reports linking other clubs with a move for the Brazilian, Boehly has confirmed Santos will stay at Chelsea next season, pointing towards an even more exciting future to come in West London.
Things have certainly not been easy for the owners since they took over the club, however qualifying for the Champions League is a sign that things are firmly going in the right direction.
