Chelsea will desperately want to get rid of Ben Chilwell before the January transfer window closes.
Ben Chilwell is yet to play a single minute of Premier League football this season and is on big money at Chelsea.
Chilwell is said to be on a £200,000-a-week contract, while the club paid Leicester City £50m to sign him back in 2020.
The defender is a very expensive substitute to have, and one of Chelsea’s only avenues to offload him could soon disappear.

Lloyd Kelly joining Juventus would block Ben Chilwell move
Juventus have an interest in Chilwell, but they are also keen on Newcastle United’s Lloyd Kelly. However, signing both players does not seem possible for the Old Lady.
According to Tuttosport, if Juventus do go on to land Kelly, for example, then they will not be able to snap up Chilwell.
It means Newcastle could be about to ruin Chelsea’s plans to finally ditch Chilwell, who they failed to offload in the 2024 summer transfer window.
It would come as a setback for Chilwell, with the left-back desperately needing to leave Stamford Bridge in order to revive his career.

Should Enzo Maresca consider giving Ben Chilwell a chance?
Chilwell’s Chelsea teammate Renato Veiga is also being linked to Juventus. If he joins them, it will leave Chilwell and Marc Cucurella as the only two left-backs in Enzo Maresca‘s squad.
There is not too long to go in the transfer window either, meaning that Chelsea could find it tricky to find a replacement.
With that in mind, utilising Chilwell more is not an option that Maresca should take off the table. It has constantly been said that the Englishman does not suit the Chelsea manager‘s system, but similar was also said about Trevoh Chalobah, who was incredible against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.
In truth, Maresca has not really given Chilwell a real opportunity and until he does, you cannot be sure that the England international cannot play under him.
