There is a very strong possibility of Chelsea signing Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen in the next transfer window.
It is thought that Chelsea are currently winning the race for Huijsen‘s signature as they look to strengthen their backline.
That is bad news for Real Madrid, who are also believed to be interested in the 20-year-old.
However, Real Madrid are not the only ones in Spain who are unlikely to be unhappy if Huijsen does go on to join Chelsea.

Chelsea move could stop Huijsen from competing for Spain U21s at European Championship
Chelsea are really keen on signing Huijsen and could land him in time for the Club World Cup.
For the Spanish Football Federation, that would be problematic, with the European U21 Championship kicking off around the same time.
According to AS, the Spanish Football Federation want Huijsen to be part of the country’s U21 team for the tournament, but they are now concerned that Chelsea’s desire to sign the Bournemouth star and have him participate in the Club World Cup will ruin their plans.
Huijsen is a full Spain international but still being 20 years of age, he is eligible to play in the Euro U21 in Slovakia this summer.
The former Juventus player is not the only central defender Chelsea are targeting. Chelsea also have an interest in Marc Guehi, who was once on their books.
They face a lot of competition for his signature, though, with the Crystal Palace star being one of the top defenders in the Premier League.

How Chelsea could line up at Club World Cup with Dean Huijsen and another key target
Huijsen is not the only player Chelsea could sign in time for the Club World Cup.
It has been claimed that Chelsea also want to buy Liam Delap before the team jet off to the US in June, meaning Enzo Maresca could have a couple of new additions for the tournament.

With big prize money to play for, it is a competition that the club will obviously want to do well in. Huijsen and Delap could help them to do that.
