‘I knocked and suspended breathing while I waited. The door flew open. That smile,’ Vella began, quoting Harry’s account of the tryst.

‘Her hair was partly covering her eyes, her arms were reaching for me. She pulled me inside and thanked her friend in one fluid motion, then slammed the door quickly before anyone saw.’

The cameras cut to Boney and Cullen wincing with second-hand embarrassment.

Vella pushed on: ‘I want to say we hung a “do not disturb” sign on the door, but I don’t think there was enough time.’

Boney squealed and recoiled in horror at Harry’s racy revelation, as Cullen blurted out: ‘Is this a Mills & Boon novel? Is this R-rated? Woah!’

Composing herself, Boney added: ‘In the audiobook he reads that version, so imagine him saying that in his voice in your ear.’
