Police officers attached to the Benue State Police Command, Makurdi E Division, have been accused of sh00ting and k!lling a young woman identified as Ahenjir Emmanuella.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Friday, May 16, 2025 at Wurukum Roundabout in Makurdi.
Until her untimely d3ath, the deceased was said to be a student of the Federal University Wukari.
Details of what led to the said shooting are still unclear at the time of filing this report.
Benue activist, Ukan Kurugh, who disclosed about the incident on Facebook, alleged that a bullet fired by the police officers pierced through the vehicle Emmanuella was in, k!lling her.
“We are not asking for much, only justice. The officers responsible must be identified and handed over to the state command for immediate and transparent investigation. Lives must not continue to be lost at the hands of those sworn to protect us. This must end now.”
