Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun turned heads at the 2025 Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebu-Ode on Sunday, June 8, donning a bespoke gold-coloured agbada richly embroidered and edged with fur, matched with a brown cap, coral beads, and a ceremonial walking staff.
His appearance was praised for its regal elegance, fitting the traditional grandeur of the event. On his verified Instagram account, the governor described Ojude Oba as a “timeless celebration” of Ijebuland’s unity, cultural pride, and heritage.
Ojude Oba, held annually on the third day after Eid-el-Kabir, features colorful age-grade parades, horseback riders, dancers, and fashion displays—all paying homage to the Awujale of Ijebuland.
