Suspected gunmen have reportedly killed a yet-to-be-identified middle-aged man in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.on Tuesday, June 4.
Eyewitnesses report that the assailants, who were riding on a motorcycle, stopped and one of them alighted, walked up to the deceased who was standing in front of the Shopping Complex in Moniya in the Akinyele Local Government Area, shot him multiple times at close range and left him dead on the spot. They fled the scene afterwards
The Nation reports that the incident threw the entire area into confusion as residents and traders quickly shut the doors while passers-by ran for their dear lives.
The state police command is yet to comment on this development.
