Shehu Sani has urged members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities  (ASUU) in Nigeria to take a leaf from the actions of the Teachers Union of Niger Republic. 
 

He pointed out that the Teachers Union of Niger Republic have threatened to give free marks to students if the federal government does not meet their demands. 

Sani, a Nigerian politician and former senator, urged ASUU to study the strategy by the Teachers Union of Niger Republic. 

He wrote: “The Teachers Union of Niger Republic is threatening to give free marks to students if the Government fails to meet their demands. l call on my comrades in ASUU to study this strategy.” 
 

 

Nigerians reacted, stating that the strategy would not yield result in Nigeria.
