“The plight of African men in the United States must be addressed. In a deeply concerning case, Dr. Ikenna Erinne, a cardiologist trained in America, allegedly took his own life after a court ordered him to pay $15,000 monthly to his ex-wife following a protracted divorce. This heartbreaking incident underscores the systemic challenges within the legal framework that disproportionately impact African men,” he wrote.
He further disclosed that the deceased had incurred significant legal expenses prior to the unfavorable court ruling.
“He shot himself. He spent thousands of dollars on legal fees—money that ultimately went to waste. This is a process that can lead to financial ruin. You enter the courtroom, and they deplete your resources,” he remarked.
