Chelsea player ratings vs Djurgarden as teenager Reggie Walsh shines but incredible teammate earns 9/10

Chelsea have reached the Conference League final after beating Djurgarden 5-1 on aggregate.

A goal from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall saw Chelsea beat the Swedish club 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in the second leg.

Enzo Maresca‘s men also won the first leg 4-1, with Nicolas Jackson scoring a brace and Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke grabbing the other two goals. With Chelsea also in fifth place in the Premier League, May could be a special month for Maresca.

Here is how The Chelsea Chronicle thinks his boys did in their latest outing, with the Blues now just one win away from more European glory.

    Filip Jorgensen: 6/10

A solid display by Filip Jorgensen, who is at risk of losing his spot in the Chelsea squad next season. It is thought that Jorgensen could be loaned to Strasbourg this summer.

    Malo Gusto: 5/10

His attacking play has not been what it was last season. Malo Gusto‘s crossing was disappointing, while he also gave away some easy balls.

    Tosin Adarabioyo: 6/10

Tosin Adarabioyo did not have too much defending to do, which is not something you say too often after a European semi-final. It perhaps shows the level of the Conference League.

    Benoit Badiashile: 6/10

Like Adarabioyo, Benoit Badiashile did not have a lot of work to do either. There are tougher nights to come for both central defenders.

    Josh Acheampong: 7/10

An absolute unit who made some good runs on the ball, Chelsea fans would probably love to see more of Josh Acheampong, a graduate from Cobham.

    Reece James: 6/10

Used his body well as he always does but some passes were sloppy. Reece James certainly has the strength and technical ability to play in midfield, but you would not make him a starter there based on that performance.

    Marc Cucurella: 7/10

Starting in midfield instead of inverting there, Marc Cucurella may have a future in the engine room! Djurgarden are not the strongest opposition, but the 26-year-old received the ball well and found himself in some dangerous spaces.

    Reggie Walsh: 8/10

A very confident display for a 16-year-old making his first start for Chelsea. Reggie Walsh showed aggressiveness and a lot of energy, which you would expect from a teenager who is eager to impress.

    Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: 8/10

Given a free role, Dewsbury-Hall took up some dangerous positions and converted his chance nicely — also could have had a second. Maybe a tad underused by Maresca this season.

    Jadon Sancho: 5/10

There is always a bit of panic when Jadon Sancho is running at defenders, and you saw that from Djurgarden backline. But the winger lacked a bit of threat when getting near and into the box, though things did improve in the second half.

    Tyrique George: 9/10

A small winger who is starting to show the power and hold-up play of a rugged centre-forward, Tyrique George did a good job leading the line for Chelsea before moving to the left and played a nice assist to Dewsbury-Hall for the opener.

    Shim Mheuka: 5/10

Shim Mheuka was introduced in the second half but did not make much of an impact, especially compared to Cobham classmates George and Walsh.

    Genesis Antwi: 6/10

Looked like a good dribbler down the right-hand side, Genesis Antwi could be another Chelsea youngster to keep an eye on.

    Trevoh Chalobah: N/A

Had very little to do when he came on but at least got to wear the Chelsea armband. As a Chelsea academy product, Trevoh Chalobah would have been proud.
