Tosin Adarabioyo tells Chelsea fans to watch out for a ‘very talented boy’ at Stamford Bridge

Tosin Adarabioyo has named the youngster in Chelsea’s squad that people should be looking out for.

One of the biggest challenges for Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca this season is that he’s coaching an extremely young Blues squad.

While there’s clearly so much talent within the dressing room at Stamford Bridge, they are the youngest side in the Premier League by some way.

    Club Average age
    Chelsea 24.4
    Brighton 25.6
    Bournemouth 25.8
    Tottenham 25.9
    Southampton 26.1

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly wants both youth and experience in the squad, but they’re definitely lacking the latter right now.

Tosin Adarabioyo excited about Chelsea youngster Tyrique George

At the age of 27, Chelsea centre-half Tosin Adarabioyo is one of the senior figures in the dressing room.

Interestingly, he’s just delivered a glowing verdict on the quality and potential of 19-year-old Blues teammate Tyrique George.

When asked to highlight a Chelsea youngster to look out for, Tosin told Rio Ferdinand Presents: “For me, I’d probably say Tyrique George. For me, he’s a very talented boy. He’s also got the mindset to push on. He’s always looking to improve. I’d say Tyrique George right now at Chelsea.”

George, who’s a product of the Chelsea academy, has come through the club’s youth system in recent years. After joining the Blues as an Under-8, he’s spent the past decade working hard in the academy system, which eventually led to a first-team breakthrough for the English attacker this season.

In the 2024/25 campaign so far, the skilful winger has made 22 senior appearances across all competitions. He’s scored two goals and created four assists, too.

During a recent interview, Pedro Neto praised Tyrique George by claiming the Blues youngster is good enough to make important contributions to the team.

At the weekend, George won Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year after his incredible breakout season.

Predicting next season for Tyrique George

Joe Shields is a key advocate of Tyrique George. If Chelsea’s co-director of recruitment and talent rates you, it’s certainly a good sign.

However, we’re intrigued to see what the 2025/26 campaign looks like for the academy graduate.

Like this season, we’re guessing that George will be a squad player next year for the Blues, where he’ll be learning so much from working on a day-to-day basis as part of the first team.

It’s certainly not easy to get senior minutes, especially when you factor in that wonderkid Estevao Willian joins in the summer to add even more competition to the forward line. George does look lively in attack with his pace, trickery and directness when Maresca uses him, though.

For George, he should aim for 30-plus appearances next season as he continues to adjust to life in the senior dressing room.
