Super Eagles defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel has reportedly informed Turkish giants Fenerbahce of his decision to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old right-back’s future has been a hot topic at the club in recent weeks, with contract renewal talks stalling.
Osayi-Samuel has refused to sign a new deal, and it now appears that a summer exit is inevitable.
According to reports from Cubuklu Sports, the Nigerian has officially communicated his intention to leave Fenerbahce at the end of the 2024–25 season.
His next move is still under wraps, but multiple sources suggest that the English Premier League is his most likely destination.
Earlier in the season, Osayi-Samuel was spotted attending one of Palace’s Premier League matches.
He has also shared posts related to the London club on his social media platforms, further fueling speculation about a possible move.
Turkish outlet Fotomac reports that the player’s representatives are already in advanced talks with Crystal Palace.
The club is said to have offered him a four-year contract with an annual salary of €4.5 million.
Despite Crystal Palace appearing to be in pole position, other clubs across Europe are expected to monitor Osayi-Samuel’s situation closely as the summer transfer window approaches.
Osayi-Samuel joined Fenerbahce in 2020 from English Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
Known for his pace, energy, and versatility, he has played as both a right-back and winger during his time in Istanbul.
Since making the switch to Fenerbahce, Osayi-Samuel has made 116 appearances for the Canaries, scoring 16 goals in all competitions.
His departure will mark the end of a four-year stint in the Turkish Super Lig and could signal the beginning of a new chapter in the Premier League.
