The Chelsea owners have come under plenty of criticism since taking over the club for the project they are undertaking at Stamford Bridge.
Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have invested plenty of money into the playing squad since taking over three years ago, however are now finally beginning to reap the rewards.
The pair were spotted on the pitch after the Conference League final triumph over Real Betis. Boehly and Eghbali were seen embracing Nicolas Jackson after his goal in the game.
The American in particular has been a punching bag in the media, with Danny Murphy slamming Boehly for defending the amount of fixtures his side are playing.
Praise has rarely come his way, however former Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas has seen something he likes from the club over the last season.
The Spaniard applauded the Blues for winning the Conference League, whilst also telling Goal that he is seeing the young players improving after being given the opportunity to make mistakes.
He said: “They’ve invested big in young players and now, slowly, they’re getting the grip of playing together after making mistakes. I always say that young players need to make mistakes but then be trusted to keep playing, to understand what a team is.
“You can only win what’s in front of you, I know they were very superior to the rest of the clubs in the Conference League, but they were there and won. They took it seriously, it was a good season. Now they need to take a higher step next year.”
Cesc Fabregas wanted by elite European side
After a very impressive start to life as Como manager, the former Chelsea midfielder has admirers at the top level of European football.
Now, it has been reported that Inter Milan have asked for permission to speak to Fabregas about potentially taking the job there, following Simone Inzaghi’s departure.
If he was to move, there would be an opportunity for a Stamford Bridge return, with Chelsea a possible Champions League opponent for Inter next season.
Fabregas led his side to some big results last season, including a win over eventual league winners Napoli.
