Chelsea have seemingly crossed off one name on their list of targets for the winger position.
Enzo Maresca has already confirmed that Chelsea will sign a new wide man during this transfer window.
Maresca spoke to the media about Chelsea’s winger situation earlier this month and said: “When the transfer window is open, for sure, we can do something.”
It comes after Jadon Sancho’s return to Manchester United, while Mykhailo Mudryk’s suspension has also left the Blues light out wide.

Chelsea cool interest in Yeremay Hernandez
Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens is the player whom Chelsea are prioritising right now, but he is not the only winger they have looked at.
Chelsea have also had Yeremay Hernandez on their radar, but it appears that the 22-year-old will be remaining at Deportivo La Coruna this summer.
According to ESPN, Chelsea have cooled their interest in Hernandez after his decision to sign a new contract.
The outlet claims that Hernandez’s new deal has made him the best-paid player in Deportivo La Coruna’s history.
He scored 15 goals in 39 appearances in Spain’s second division last season, so his club will be glad that they have managed to extend his contract.
As for Chelsea, Gittens or another winger will come in before the transfer window closes, with the Conference League winners also thought to be interested in Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho.
Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that Chelsea have held talks internally about signing Garnacho.

Chelsea tried to sign Yeremay Hernandez in January
Hernandez was not a new target for Chelsea, with their reported interest stretching all the way back to January.
During the winter transfer window, it was even claimed that Chelsea had made a bid for Hernandez.
The Spaniard remained at Deportivo La Coruna, though, and it does not look as though he has any plans to leave them at this moment in time.
At 22, Hernandez is the profile of player Chelsea want, so the Blues may be disappointed about missing out on him.
