Chelsea are all set for the shortest away trip of the season as they take on Fulham in another must-win Premier League game for the Blues.

Enzo Maresca’s side have dropped as low as seventh in the table, with five sides set for Champions League football next season.

There is some positive news for the Blues as the manager confirmed Romeo Lavia was available for selection after his recent injury setback.

The biggest goal will be a return to goalscoring form for their attackers, particularly Nicolas Jackson who has not found the net in 2025 around his own fitness woes.

A new striker is very much expected to be signed at the end of the season, with many believing it is an issue that has not been properly addressed for a number of transfer windows now.

The Blues have a long list of targets that they are currently assessing, however it looks as if one of the names they have added to that list is a player they could be about to get an up-close look at.

Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that the Blues have met with the agent of Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.

He said: “Fulham striker Muniz’s agent has also been entertained at The Bridge recently as well as Ekitike’s.”

The Brazilian has been competing with Raul Jimenez for a place in the starting side at Craven Cottage this season, although has still contributed plenty of goals in his time on the pitch.

Chelsea fans will have bad memories of the striker from this season. It was him who found the net in the 95th minute to hand Chelsea a rare Stamford Bridge defeat on Boxing Day.

The result very much got the wheels in motion for what has been an extremely underwhelming 2025 for the Blues, and a run of form they will need to put an end to if they are to rescue their fading hopes of competing amongst Europe’s elite next season.
