Chelsea could raid Premier League rivals Brighton & Hove Albion for a couple of their players this summer.
Despite convincing Liam Delap to join them, it is thought that Chelsea are still interested in signing Joao Pedro to bolster their frontline.
He could be a cheaper alternative to Hugo Ekitike, who is valued at around £80m by Eintracht Frankfurt. However, Pedro is not the only Brighton player the Blues are rumoured to be targeting.
In the past, Chelsea have signed Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella and Robert Sanchez all from the Seagulls.
Chelsea interested in Pervis Estupinan
Cucurella has been a revelation at Chelsea this season, but the Blues had no cover for him during the second part of the campaign.
It means that Chelsea may need to sign a new left-back this summer, with Pervis Estupinan a potential candidate to come in.
According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea are one of several Premier League sides currently battling it out for the 27-year-old’s signature.
For now, the Conference League winners still have Ben Chilwell and Renato Veiga on their books. Both players are left-backs and can thus cover for Cucurella.
After loan spells at Crystal Palace and Juventus respectively, though, the most likely scenario is that the pair will depart Stamford Bridge.
Marseille are being linked with Veiga, so France could be one potential destination for the Portugal international.
What Moises Caicedo has said about Pervis Estupinan
Caicedo is one Chelsea player who would welcome Estupinan to Stamford Bridge. Caicedo has played alongside Estupinan at Brighton and for the Ecuador national team and only has good things to say about his compatriot.
Speaking after Estupinan made his full debut for Brighton, Caicedo told The Argus: “I am sure he is going to have a great season and really shine here. I spoke to him and I’m really excited to have him here. He is really excited to be here and show his football.”
Brighton will not want to sell either Estupinan or Pedro, but the Seagulls have shown in the past that they are a selling club and have no problems with doing business with Chelsea.
It is certainly something to keep an eye on, as Enzo Maresca needs another left-back in the squad, while the Blues still appear to be in the market for another striker despite landing Delap.
