Cole Palmer has picked four iconic players to make up his Premier League Mount Rushmore, and it includes a Chelsea legend.

In the Premier League era, Chelsea have been extremely successful, winning the top-flight title five times.

The Blues legends from the 21st century include the likes of Frank Lampard, John Terry and Didier Drogba, who were all such key figures in a golden period at Stamford Bridge.

Hopefully, the current Chelsea squad can write their own names into the club’s folklore. It can start on Sunday if they beat Nottingham Forest on the final day of the league season and secure Champions League qualification.

Nobody will be surprised by the inclusion of Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry, but Palmer also went with Belgian stars Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard.

Since retiring from football in 2023, Hazard has received so many plaudits for a sensational career. In particular, the 34-year-old left-winger was at his dazzling best during his Chelsea spell between 2012 and 2019.

Unsurprisingly, Hazard was named in Chelsea’s greatest ever team, voted for by Blues supporters.

Earlier this season, Cole Palmer praised Eden Hazard by admitting he would have loved to play alongside him. He’s now gone one step further by naming him in his Premier League Mount Rushmore.

For accolades and longevity, Hazard may fall short of some Premier League icons. For individual ability, Hazard belongs right in the mix with the best to ever grace England’s top division.

At the moment, Blues great Hazard isn’t part of the elusive club. We wouldn’t be surprised to see his name added in the near future, though.

Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze called Eden Hazard his favourite Premier League player because of the magic he produced on the football pitch. Meanwhile, Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon rates Eden Hazard as the most talented winger to play in the Premier League.
