With a lot of talk already beginning over who Chelsea are going to try and sign this summer, they are going to have to sell a number of players to continue to bankroll their business.

The Blues loaned out an extortionate amount of first team stars during the season, with many seeming to have no real future at Stamford Bridge.

This includes the likes of Raheem Sterling and Joao Felix, however finding a permanent suitor for them is going to prove a difficult task.

They are more likely to find buyers for players who have spent the season featuring heavily for the Blues, however these are of course those who are more important to what Enzo Maresca is looking to achieve in West London.

Rival clubs sense chance to sign key Chelsea starter this summer

One player who featured for the majority of the season is Robert Sanchez. The Spaniard made 32 appearances in the Premier League this season.

Despite some very frustrating moments, Chelsea fans were impressed by Sanchez’s turnaround in the final weeks of the campaign. He was key to the Blues achieving Champions League qualification.

Even with his turnaround on the pitch, his future is by no means secure at Stamford Bridge.

According to The Guardian, rival clubs are actually sensing that the Blues would sell Sanchez this summer if one of them decides they want to make an offer for him.

Chelsea’s goalkeeper status ahead of 25/26

Throughout the season, the manager has defended both Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen during difficult moments for them individually.

However, it has been reported that Maresca wants a new option in goal for the upcoming season, opening the door to Sanchez’s exit.

Djordje Petrovic has made a case to be given another opportunity following his excellent loan spell at Strasbourg this season. His teammate, Andrey Santos, will be featuring in the first team next season.

There is also the status of youngster Mike Penders to consider. A player with great promise, it is expected that his impact in a Chelsea shirt is more likely to be in a few years’ time.
