Chelsea completed the full set of European trophies as they routed Real Betis 4-1 in the Conference League final.

After a tough first 45 minutes, Enzo Maresca made the perfect substitutions to turn the game around. This was paired with some of the Blues showing their individual quality.

Cole Palmer was a joy to watch, while midfield duo Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo both got on the scoresheet to cap off excellent individual seasons.

Reece James lifted his first trophy as Chelsea captain, and was the only player involved who was part of the 2021 Champions League winning side too.

One of his teammates that day, Thiago Silva, was quick to react to their triumph on his Instagram story, showing his allegiances are very much still with the Blues despite currently playing his football in Brazil.

Thiago Silva sends Chelsea message after Conference League triumph

He simply said: “European Champions again”, clearly reminiscing about their famous victory against Manchester City in Porto.

The Brazilian started the game under Thomas Tuchel, however was left in tears when he was forced off due to injury in the first half.

However, he was able to cap off an illustrious career with a European trophy, something which all of the current Chelsea players can say they have now achieved.

Silva has kept himself up to date with all things Chelsea since moving away in 2023. He was one of many to wish the club a Happy Birthday on their 120th anniversary.

Chelsea’s Thiago Silva replacement’s brilliant season

Not only did Chelsea lose a top defender when Silva departed the club, but they also lost one of the dressing room leaders and players with experience at the top level.

Filling that void was the task of Tosin Adarabioyo this summer, after being brought in on a free transfer.

Chelsea have been impressed by Tosin’s leadership skills in the dressing room, and while he didn’t feature in the final, he has made his mark on the pitch too.

Tosin has proven a lot of haters wrong with his performances this season, and is one of the players Chelsea cannot afford to lose in the summer window.
