Forward Edna Imade continued her impressive form in Spain’s top flight, scoring her 15th goal of the season in Granada’s 2-1 loss to Real Madrid of the Liga F.

Real Madrid Take Early Lead

The visitors started brightly and broke the deadlock in the 11th minute. After a skillful play by Linda Caicedo, Granada’s defense failed to clear the danger, allowing Caroline Weir to pounce and convert from close range.

Real Madrid dominated possession and created several chances but couldn’t add to their lead in the first half.

Imade Levels for Granada

In the 72nd minute, Edna Imade drew Granada level with a superb finish.

The striker received a pass from Alexia, turned sharply under pressure, and unleashed a powerful right-footed strike to beat the goalkeeper — a moment of individual brilliance that brought her season tally to 15 league goals in 27 appearances.

Caceido Secures Win for Madrid

Granada’s joy was short-lived, as Linda Caicedo capped her strong performance with a match-winning goal in the 85th minute, sealing all three points for Real Madrid.

Despite the loss, Imade played the full 90 minutes and once again proved vital for her side.

Granada Remain in Fifth Place

Granada stay fifth in Liga F with 45 points from 28 games as the regular season nears its conclusion.

They will look to bounce back when they face Real Sociedad on May 11, 2025.
