Enzo Maresca, 45, is the individual dealing with the pressure in the manager’s dugout right now.

Gary Cahill loved playing under Jose Mourinho despite high demands
Retired defender Gary Cahill, who played for Chelsea between 2012 and 2019, was part of Mourinho’s second spell in West London.
The Englishman recalls that there were “ups and downs” under Mourinho because of his style of management, but the overall experience was a very positive one.
“I had good experiences with Jose. I won the Premier League and the League Cup with him, and Jose and Chelsea together equalled titles,” Cahill said via Chelsea’s official website.
“I was dead excited when he came back because I hadn’t worked with him before, so I asked the lads about him and they spoke very highly of him and said, ‘Gaz, you will love him; how hungry he is, how determined he is and how he works’. So I was excited when he was appointed and had the chance to work with him.
“There can be ups and downs with Jose because he is very demanding and very intense. But ultimately, I have great memories with him, winning the Premier League and the League Cup, and I had great experiences from playing with him.”

John Terry claims Chelsea’s players were different under Jose Mourinho the second time around, largely because the core group were older and more experienced. He still managed to find the right formula to win with them, though.
Eden Hazard’s best season at Chelsea was under Jose Mourinho
It’s well documented that Mourinho get the best out of Chelsea legends such as Frank Lampard, John Terry and Didier Drogba in his first spell.
In Mourinho’s second stint, Eden Hazard was a big winner from the return of the Portuguese icon.
Following his retirement, Eden Hazard named his best season as the 2014/25 campaign with Chelsea. The legendary winger said: “My best season was the second season with Mourinho when we won the Premier League and League Cup.”
