Inter Milan have begun negotiations to extend Ebenezer Akinsanmiro’s contract.

According to Sky Sport, the Serie A champions have opened talks over a renewal, with the midfielder having just one year left on his current deal.

The 20-year-old, who joined Inter from Remo Stars in 2023 on a four-year contract, is seen as a key part of the club’s long-term project.

Akinsanmiro was part of the squad that won a historic treble in the 2023/24 season—Serie A, Coppa Italia, and Supercoppa Italiana—although he made just one appearance for the Nerazzurri during that campaign.

Last season, he gained valuable experience on loan at Serie B side Sampdoria, where he made 35 appearances.

Despite his limited action with Inter, the club is impressed with his development.

They are reportedly considering another loan spell to help accelerate his growth before integrating him fully into the first team.
