If everything goes to plan next Wednesday, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali will win their first trophy as Chelsea owners.

Chelsea take on Real Betis in the Conference League final, looking to claim their first piece of silverware since 2022.

Real Betis have a bit of an advantage after their last league game of the season was moved back by two days to help them prepare for the showdown in Wroclaw.

Former Chelsea winger Joe Cole, though, is confident that Enzo Maresca‘s men can still come out on top.

Joe Cole tips Chelsea to beat Real Betis 2-1

Chelsea have had an easy ride in the Conference League this season, but Cole is expecting Real Betis to give them a tough match in the final.

However, the Chelsea legend has still predicted his old side to come out as 2-1 victors on the night.

Speaking about the game on talkSPORT, Cole said: “Don’t underestimate how hard it is to win and what I’m saying is if Chelsea do win it, give the boys their props and their flowers because it’s so hard as a group of players to go all that way in a competition and win it.”

When later asked for a score prediction, the retired England international said: “Chelsea, 2-1, but I think it’ll be a tight game.”

Before then, Chelsea have another huge match against Nottingham Forest that they have to win.

Nuno Espirito Santo has already fired a warning, confident that the City Ground is going to be rocking. So this is not going to be an easy fixture for the Blues.

But they need three points from it to guarantee a place in next season’s Champions League.

Joe Cole on what makes Chelsea a better team

Cole has also been discussing Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson and believes Maresca’s team are a stronger side when he starts.

When Cole spoke about Jackson, he said: “What I would say is Chelsea are a better team with Nicolas Jackson in it. Whether he becomes Diego Costa or Didier Drogba or anyone like that, he’s still got a way to go. They need to bring someone in to supplement him, to push him.”

Jackson will miss Chelsea’s final Premier League game of the season because of suspension, but he will be available for the Conference League final.

Some fans have been on his back lately after his moment of madness at St James’ Park. But score in Wroclaw and help Chelsea to win the cup, and all of that will be forgotten.
