Chelsea made the decision to not trigger the option to permanently sign Jadon Sancho following his loan spell, leaving him looking for a new club.

Sancho’s wage demands were too high for the Blues, and his public spats with Manchester United have left him unlikely to make a return at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim.

The England international divided opinion during his spell at Stamford Bridge. Simon Jordan slammed Sancho following his announced departure, however there were a number of important moments he provided.

One of those was finding the net in the Conference League final against Real Betis, a strike which ended up being a parting gift to the Blues in his last outing for them.

Jadon Sancho wanted by Borussia Dortmund

As he looks towards finding a new home, Sky Sports have reported that Borussia Dortmund are keeping tabs on his situation to see if they can make it a third spell in the Bundesliga for the winger.

However, the report goes on to say that his current wage demands make a loan move more likely at this stage for Sancho.

The Englishman has played the best football of his career for Dortmund, with it even being claimed a few months ago that Sancho was eyeing a return to Germany.

Many will have seen his goal against Betis as the perfect parting present to Chelsea and the fans, however he may be about to assist them in completing a big summer signing of their own.

Sancho to Dortmund could allow Chelsea to sign Gittens

Chelsea are very interested in signing Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens following his excellent campaign on the left-wing in Germany.

Chelsea have made a new bid for Gittens, after it was previously reported that a deal would be worth a fee of around £50m (The Telegraph).

The Bundesliga side would likely be more willing to part ways with their young star if they had a replacement ready to come to the club, which may now emerge in the form of Sancho.

Gittens will be excited at the prospect of linking up with the likes of Cole Palmer and Liam Delap, having all previously featured as part of the academy squad at Manchester City.
