If reports are to be believed, Chelsea’s pursuit of a new forward has seen them turn to Juventus star Randal Kolo Muani.

Kolo Muani, who is currently at Juventus on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent days.

It has been claimed that Chelsea are talking to PSG about signing Kolo Muani as they look to strengthen their forward line further.

The Blues have already brought in Liam Delap this summer, but it appears that the club still want another forward.

Kylian Mbappe describes Randal Kolo Muani as ‘very complete’

Kolo Muani’s loan spell at Juventus has been a success, with the 26-year-old scoring eight goals in 16 Serie A appearances last season.

He has also netted twice at the Club World Cup, but after his struggles at PSG, some Chelsea fans may have concerns about bringing him in. Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe, though, has no doubts about his France teammate.

When Mbappe spoke about Kolo Muani in one post-match interview in 2023, which was shared by the Daily Mail, he said: “He is a striker who offers different game options to our team. He is very complete and has an impressive volume of play.”

Chelsea making an offer for the Frenchman would not be too much of a shock, as he appears to be a player whom they appreciate.

Before his move to Juventus, it was reported that Chelsea have respect for Kolo Muani despite opting against submitting a proposal for him in January.

Randal Kolo Muani could replace Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea

If Kolo Muani does arrive at Stamford Bridge during this transfer window, then the France international could replace Nicolas Jackson in Enzo Maresca‘s squad.

Jackson has come in for a lot of criticism following his sending off in Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Flamengo last week and is now being linked with a move away from the club.

According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea could part ways with Jackson if a suitable offer arrives. The 24-year-old departing would leave the Blues in need of another forward like Kolo Muani.
