There are a number of Chelsea loanees enjoying great spells away from Stamford Bridge this season, but not every player has been quite so fortunate.
The Blues managed to trim down the Chelsea squad this term by shipping several individuals out on loan.
In terms of success stories, the likes of Andrey Santos and Kepa Arrizabalaga have enjoyed great years. Apparently, Andrey Santos will be in Chelsea’s squad next season after the midfielder’s brilliant performances for Strasbourg.

Unfortunately, Chelsea loanee Joao Felix, 25, has had a tough time since he joined AC Milan in January on loan for the rest of this season.
On Friday night, Milan secured a 3-1 league win over Bologna in the Serie A fixture.
Felix made his first start for Milan since March and completed 90 minutes, but his individual performance received some strong criticism in the Italian media.
Calciomercato.it wrote: “Flop Joao Felix 4.5 – The Portuguese player is at a slow trot in the first half, disappearing into the white shirts of Bologna. During the second half, however, he has the balls at his feet to allow Milan to score: in the first instance he doesn’t serve his teammates, in the second he shoots very high from an excellent position. Also at the end he misses another easy pass, with which he would have sent [Santiago] Gimenez to the goal. His adventure at the Diavolo is destined to end. No one will miss him.”
In 18 appearances for Milan across all competitions, Felix now has one goal and one assist.
The Portuguese attacker, who completed 90 minutes against Bologna, looks completely shot of confidence and ideas.
Chelsea would love to sell Joao Felix to Saudi Arabia this summer once his loan expires at the San Siro. Apparently, Joao Felix would like to join Galatasaray next season, so let’s wait and see where he ends up.

Joao Felix stats vs Bologna
It feels like the writing is on the wall for Felix’s Milan career because he’s been a fringe figure in recent months, but he did get an opportunity to play the full game yesterday versus Bologna.
The on-loan Milan forward couldn’t leave his mark on the contest despite a few attempts at goal.
Minutes played | Goals | Assists | Touches | Accurate passes | Total shots | Chances created | Match rating |
90 | 0 | 0 | 40 | 19/25 (76%) | 3 | 1 | 6.6 |
FOTMOB data adds that Felix had the least touches (40) of any outfield player to complete 90 minutes in Milan’s win against Bologna.
It’s quite obvious that the Chelsea-owned individual is a shadow of the player he was as a youngster at Benfica and Atletico Madrid, so he desperately needs to find a permanent home.
