Victor Osimhen has been officially crowned the 2024/25 Turkish Süper Lig Golden Boot winner, capping off a sensational season with Galatasaray.

The Striker finished the season with 26 league goals, five more than his closest rival, Krzysztof Piątek, and became the first Nigerian to ever claim the top scorer award in the Süper Lig.

He is also the first African winner since Aaron Boupendza netted 22 goals for Hatayspor in the 2020/21 season.

Osimhen helped the Istanbul giants clinch both the Süper Lig title and the Turkish Cup, scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances for the club.

The 26 year old also set a new record for the most goals scored by a foreign player in a single Turkish season, surpassing the previous mark held by former Galatasaray star Mario Jardel.

Osimhen spent the season on loan from Serie A side Napoli, and his outstanding form has reignited transfer interest from several European teams.

Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea are reportedly among the clubs monitoring his situation, while Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal is also said to be preparing a big money offer.
