Chelsea will have lots of decisions to make this summer when they welcome back the army of players currently out on loan, and one individual is already being tipped to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

The Blues trimmed down their squad well this season by allowing a large number of players to go out on loan to enjoy regular first-team football elsewhere. Of course, there has been mixed success with the Chelsea loanees.

In terms of the biggest positives, 21-year-old midfielder Andrey Santos has been phenomenal for Strasbourg.

Chelsea will use Andrey Santos at the Club World Cup this summer, fresh off a great loan spell in France with their sister club. Afterwards, we are optimistic that he can make a genuine impact in the first-team squad next season.

However, it’ll be impossible for every Blues loanee to find a way into Enzo Maresca’s squad. In fact, Chelsea plan to sell several high-profile loanees to help raise funds to sign a new central striker.

Chelsea will offer Armando Broja to Newcastle

Armando Broja, who came through the Chelsea academy, is someone the fans have always wanted to see succeed at the club. Unfortunately, the 23-year-old’s senior career has been stop-start due to several injury problems.

The quick striker has been on a season-long loan at Everton during this, playing only 11 times because of injuries. Unsurprisingly, he’s now linked with a move away from the Blues this summer.

According to The Chronicle, Newcastle United are one of the clubs that will be offered the chance to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea this summer.

It is explained that Everton will not take up the option to buy the on-loan centre-forward at the end of the season.

The report says that Chelsea will make Broja available to buy as they look to offload up to 10 players to help comply with PSR rules.

Chelsea do expect significant interest in Armando Broja going into the summer. Now that they’ve reached out to certain clubs, it will be interesting to see where he ends up playing his football next season.

If the Albania international can stay fit, we are confident he can still enjoy a successful career.

What Mauricio Pochettino said about Armando Broja

Broja has played under a number of different managers at Chelsea, including Mauricio Pochettino.

Back in January 2024, Mauricio Pochettino raved about Armando Broja by claiming his potential is “massive”. The former Blues boss said: “The potential is massive. All the biggest strikers need time. When they are young, they need to find their own balance. But I believe that he has the potential to be an amazing striker.”

Even though he still has the time to try to unlock his own potential, he’s got to find a permanent home and play some regular football without the interruptions of injury.
