Spanish powerhouse, Atlético Madrid Femenino announced on Sunday the departure of Rasheedat Ajibade, bringing to a close to a glittering career in the Spanish capital.
“Rash, you’re a red and white legend,” Atlético wrote in a heartfelt tribute on X (formerly Twitter), celebrating her “quality, speed, assists, and a lot of goals in her boots.”

During her time with the Rojiblancas, Ajibade helped lift two major domestic trophies:

Emotional Send-Off on Season Finale
Ajibade and three other departing stars—Marta Cardona, Ainhoa Moraza, and Merle Barth—were honored after Atlético’s 5–0 victory over Levante Las Planas at the Alcalá de Henares Sports Centre on the final day of the season.
That win also secured Atlético’s qualification for next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League, ensuring the quartet left on the perfect note.
