Chelsea have had a successful season, but it still looks like they want to make changes to their squad this summer.

The Blues were able to qualify for the Champions League before beating Real Betis 4-1 to win the Conference League.

The likes of Jadon Sancho, Robert Sanchez and Noni Madueke all contributed to the team’s successes.

However, Chelsea are sending Sancho back to Manchester United, while doubts have emerged surrounding the futures of Sanchez and Madueke.

Simon Jordan delivers brutal assessment on Jadon Sancho

Chelsea fans will not forget Sancho’s loan spell. The winger scored the third goal in the club’s Conference League final tie against Betis.

Even so, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan still feels that the 25-year-old barely did anything at Chelsea this season.

Discussing Sancho on talkSPORT, he said: “I mean, I was already assuming they’d be paying the £5m, Chelsea, to Man United because they weren’t going to keep him. The reality of it is I don’t know how long he’s got left on his contract, but there’s going to have to be a view taken by everyone because Sancho clearly… I mean he hasn’t set the heavens on fire at Chelsea.

“He’s had a few moments and then all of a sudden people started to whip United because a couple of times at the beginning of the season Sancho looked like he was going to do something. But Sancho’s looked like he was going to do something for a long period of time for lots of people, besides Dortmund where he has done something.

“I think he’s one of those that’s got lots of talent and seemingly a view of themselves which other people don’t subscribe to, which is he can do what he wants.”

The Blues were already in the market for a new winger before it was confirmed that Sancho would be heading back to Old Trafford, but signing one has now become more of a pressing matter.

Chelsea are targeting Jamie Gittens, so it would not be a surprise to see him now come in and replace the outgoing Sancho.

Enzo Maresca‘s side have also been linked with Alejandro Garnacho, who seems more than open to a move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

It has been claimed that Garnacho has already spoken to his agent and has told them to communicate to Maresca that he wants to join Chelsea.

How Reece James and Cole Palmer reacted to Jadon Sancho exit news

Sancho took to Instagram on Tuesday to confirm that he would be leaving Chelsea at the end of his loan and thanked everyone at the club.

In response, Reece James and Cole Palmer sent a love heart emoji, showing their appreciation for the former Dortmund star.

Unlike Jordan, Chelsea supporters will also appreciate what Sancho was able to contribute in a blue shirt, including that sublime finish in Wroclaw last week. Some fans will probably be sad to see him go.
