One of the most shrewd pieces of business pulled off by Chelsea over the past few years has been the signing of Estevao Willian from Palmeiras.

The Brazilian is set to link up with Enzo Maresca and the first team squad at Stamford Bridge after the Club World Cup, with there no plans to loan him out this summer.

Estevao was wanted by PSG and a number of other European sides, however it was Chelsea who agreed the £29m deal that could change their future due to his potential.

Add ons could see the deal rise, however the Blues will be more than happy with what he delivers for them if they do end up paying those fees.

Estevao Willian’s value rises to up to £74m ahead of Chelsea debut

Todd Boehly has not got every deal spot on since taking over at Stamford Bridge, however this is one he can certainly be proud of.

This is shown by the estimated value of the Brazil international. According to CIES Football Observatory, a fair price for Estevao is now up to £74m, more than double the fee they have paid for him so far.

The winger has continued starring for Palmeiras since the deal was agreed, and he has the opportunity to build more excitement amongst Chelsea fans when he returns to the pitch for his second Club World Cup appearance.

Estevao ready to star again at Club World Cup

Estevao starred against Porto in his first game of the competition, being handed the ‘superior player of the match’ award for his performance.

However, they were held to a 0-0 draw despite performing well against European opposition, with all four teams in Group A sitting on one point.

The Brazilian side are set to take on Al Ahly on Thursday evening, before setting up a potential changing of the guard with Lionel Messi in the final group stage game.

Estevao cannot feature for Chelsea at the Club World Cup due to an agreement with Palmeiras when the signing was agreed, however his appearances are keeping Blues fans excited that they have a real talent joining them before the new Premier League campaign begins.
