Victor Osimhen is poised to make what could be his final appearance for Galatasaray tonight, as the newly crowned Süper Lig champions take on İstanbul Başakşehir at RAMS Park in their 2024 25 season finale.

The 26-year-old Nigerian forward, on loan from Napoli, has lit up Turkish football since his arrival last summer, quickly becoming a fan favourite.

With 25 league goals and 35 in all competitions, Osimhen has played a pivotal role in securing Galatasaray’s record 25th league title and Turkish Cup double.

Earlier this week, Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding Osimhen’s future:

“The player will decide about his future. He made an incredible contribution here. We need to respect him, but we are hopeful that he will stay with us.”

Osimhen has remained quiet on his next move, choosing instead to savour the title celebrations with his teammates and family, including a touching moment with his daughter Hailey following their title clinching victory over Kayserispor.

Now, as the curtain comes down on a memorable season, tonight’s fixture could offer a final glimpse of Osimhen in Galatasaray colours, a chance to deliver one last moment for the supporters before he potentially embarks on a new chapter elsewhere.
