Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Dele Momodu has warned that President Bola Tinubu cannot be removed in the 2027 elections unless the opposition parties form a united front.
Speaking during a monthly program on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, Momodu emphasized that the PDP, in its current fractured state, stands little chance of defeating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The APC is jittery about the PDP. They know it’s the only party capable of challenging their dominance in 2027,” he said. “That’s why APC leaders at all levels are working to divide and weaken the PDP.”
Momodu also alleged that some PDP members are being manipulated to destabilize the party from within.
According to him, only a broad coalition of political parties can realistically challenge Tinubu’s re-election bid.
“Whoever hopes to contest credibly against the current president must come from a different region of the country. Regional dynamics will play a key role in the next election.” he added
