The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has suspended former House of Representatives member for Koko/Maiyama Federal Constituency, Muhammad Shehu Koko, along with nine party officials in Koko Local Government Area.

Among those suspended are Muhammad Danyado, the APC Vice Chairman of Koko LGA; Biyaminu Muhammad, Secretary; Talatu Zauro, Women Leader; as well as the Youth Leader, Financial Secretary, Welfare Secretary, and several other key party officials.

A suspension letter obtained by Channels Television cited alleged anti-party activities, disloyalty, and harassment of party executive members as reasons for the disciplinary action. The letter was jointly signed by APC Local Government Party Chairman, Muhammad Maibarga; the Local Government Executive Chairman, Sirajo Usman Koko; and 14 other party stakeholders in the area.

While close associates of the suspended lawmaker declined to comment officially, they indicated that the suspension may be politically motivated. According to sources, Koko’s reported interest in contesting for a senatorial seat in the next election cycle has allegedly caused friction within the party and unsettled some influential figures in the Kebbi APC chapter.
