Britain’s Got Talent star Stacey Leadbeatter has got through to next week’s final after fearing she wouldn’t be able to sing in tonight’s semi-final after being diagnosed with strep throat earlier this week.

The singer impressed the judges in her audition and received a Golden Buzzer from KSI after being forced to retrain her voice due to a stutter.

The star picked up the illness and was put on antibiotics, which left her worried she might not be able to sing in tonight’s show.

However she gave it her all at Wembley Arena in front of the judges – and has now landed her spot in the final, hoping for a chance to be crowned the winner.

She was told by Simon Cowell: ‘I love moments like this where someone comes from doing a regular job that has a dream to do something else, and you give it a shot because the music business is very, very tough.

‘However people at home are going to love you, actually. I have a lot of respect with you.’

She was left in shock after receiving the approval from Simon, who is not always easy to impress.

Yesterday, Stacey revealed her panic about potentially not being able to sing in the semi-final.

‘My voice is only just coming back,’ she told The Mirror.

‘I am still actually on antibiotics. I haven’t been able to sing properly. I have been a bit concerned about this weekend but, hopefully, I’ll be able to do it.’Ω

YouTube personality KSI, 31, decided to send Stacey straight through to the semi-finals, with fellow judge Amanda Holden, 54, branded her amazing while the huge Blackpool audience chanted ‘press the buzzer’.

Recalling how she was bullied at school, Stacey previously said: ‘In high school I used to stutter a bit and people would mimic me.

‘Children unfortunately sometimes can be a bit harsh and I wasn’t the popular girl at school.’
