A Miss Universe finalist has told a court how her ex-boyfriend repeatedly bit and ‘kicked her life a dog’ during an alleged attack at his £1.5million Knightsbridge home.

Ricky Lawrence, 33, is on trial accused of assaulting model Chloe Othen, 34, at his luxury pad on 15 October 2022.

Today jurors at Aldersgate House Crown Court heard how Ms Othen, a finalist in Miss Universe GB in 2015, thought she would die after the alleged attack.

Describing her injuries, Ms Othen added: ‘I had an indent in my skull. I had to get my jaw unlocked two months later.

‘He was kicking me like a dog on the floor.’

Jurors heard Lawrence, a whisky merchant, later sent messages to Ms Othen saying: ‘I will do everything in my power to f*** you up.’

She also referred to one of the abusive messages she received from the 33-year-old, in which he said: ‘I am going to be a shadow over everything you do.’

Ms Othen told the court: ‘He is still a shadow, he ruined my life. He literally says he is going to do everything he did to me.’

Whisky merchant Ricky Lawrence, 33, is accused of the assault after inviting Ms Othen over, a court has heard

Ms Othen said she initially had not wanted to go to his flat because she was scared

They were in a relationship for around six months between December 2021 and May 2022, but remained ‘on and off’ after it ended, the court heard.

The model and internet personality, who has 284,000 Instagram followers, went over to Lawrence’s apartment in Hans Place, they had a conversation, but at one point, she felt like she needed to leave.

Ms Othen’s partner, Hatton Garden jeweller Bora Guccuk, 41, called her, and Lawrence picked up the phone, threatening to stab them both, jurors have heard.

On the second day of her evidence, Ms Othen said Lawrence abused her before the alleged assault.

‘He bit me a lot,’ she said.

‘I appreciate that I hadn’t mentioned it, but honestly, I’m embarrassed. Embarrassed at having gone back to someone who abused me physically and mentally.’

Lawrence insists that he was not responsible for Ms Othen’s injuries in October 2022.

Tom Wyatt, defending Lawrence, asked Ms Othen: ‘Do you accept that Bora could be jealous?’

She responded: ‘I have never been worried about Bora. I know what you’re getting at. Bora and I didn’t break up on bad terms.’

She said after they had broken up Lawrence stalked her while she was in Cannes for the film festival.

The pair had been in a relationship for around six months between December 2021 and May 2022 but remained ‘on and off’ after it ended

Following his arrest Lawrence told police he had ‘repeatedly asked Chloe to leave but she continued to shout and scream’

‘I was sitting at the dinner table and he came up to me. I never stalked Ricky or followed him.

‘I did love him and it is hard with someone who love bombs you right from the start. You just want better for that person. I used to think he could be a good person.’

Mr Wyatt said: ‘You sent him a text message telling him that you were pregnant. Isn’t it only natural that you would be interacting? Once you told him you were carrying his baby?

‘He told you that keeping the baby was incompatible with your lifestyle.’

Ms Othen replied: ‘He might have said that, it is something that he would say.’

Mr Wyatt asked the model: ‘Do you remember having a bruise on your face and saying that it had come from Bora?’

Ms Othen replied: ‘No. No, I’m saying no.’

Ms Othen confirmed that she fell pregnant by Lawrence but she had an abortion

‘You made a significant effort to get him (Lawrence) back’, said Mr Wyatt.

‘No’, she replied.

Mr Wyatt asked her: ‘You went to his (Lawrence’s) parents house and asked if they could intervene?’

Ms Othen replied: ‘No I didn’t ask that.’

Mr Wyatt then suggested Mr Guccuk was ‘essentially funding’ her life.

Ms Othen replied: ‘He wasn’t funding my life, I just lived [at his place]. Bora does his own thing. Bora always does his own thing. To be honest people knew.

She said that when she arrived at his flat on 15 October she knew something was wrong.

‘He had this look where his eyes went black. He is like a different person and I just thought f***’.

Lawrence, of Hans Place, Knightsbridge, denies assault causing actual bodily harm.

The trial continues.
