Nigerian rapper and activist, Falz, is not holding back.
Following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s official statement on the recent killings in Benue State, Falz took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his dissatisfaction with what he described as yet another “routine statement.”
Tinubu’s post, which condemned the attacks and called on security agencies and political leaders to act swiftly, read in part:
“Enough is enough! I have directed the security agencies to act decisively… Our people must live in peace…”
But Falz wasn’t impressed.
Quoting the president’s post, he wrote:
“You have consistently shown that you are incapable of performing the primary duty of securing lives and property of your citizens. This routine statement does not cut it.”
The rapper has long been vocal about insecurity and government inaction, and his latest reaction echoes the frustration of many Nigerians over the recurring violence in Benue and other parts of the country.
Falz’s comment has since sparked conversations online, with many users backing his stance while others criticized his tone.
