Kerry Morgan, Cassie Ventura’s best friend, has emerged as a crucial figure in the trial of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
Morgan, 39, who is set to take the stand Monday, was mentioned by Ventura last week during her testimony.
The R&B singer told the court that her ex-boyfriend threw a wooden hanger at her then best friend, giving her a concussion.
Ventura also mentioned the alleged incident in the 2023 lawsuit she filed against Combs, where she accused the disgraced rapper of putting her through years of a ‘cycle of abuse, violence and sex trafficking.’
The alleged incident between Morgan and Combs led to a settlement between the two, and Ventura also paid additional money to ‘resolve the dispute between her close friend and her abusive and controlling boyfriend,’ legal documents stated.
Following the alleged ordeal, the Me & U singer’s relationship with Morgan, a model, became ‘strained,’ per the filing.
Ventura, 38, also spoke of Morgan at another point during the trial when Assistant US Attorney Emily Johnson presented a photo and asked her where she celebrated her birthday a previous year.
‘In Las Vegas. Kerry Morgan was there too. We were out on his patio on my 21st birthday, during the VMAs,’ she responded as the jury saw the image of them.

Johnson then asked Ventura what took place after the photo was snapped, as she replied: ‘Sean kissed me in the bathroom. I ran back to my hotel. I told Kerry.’
On day two of the trial, Ventura spoke of the 2016 attack involving Combs at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles.
As the video played, Ventura was seen biting a lip and taking deep breaths while sipping on water.
The court was also shown images of Ventura with a black eye and a busted lip in the aftermath.
She told the court Morgan called the cops after seeing the state she was in, prompting a flurry of angry texts from Combs.
‘I have a premiere for the biggest thing I’ve ever done in my life on Monday,’ a message from Ventura to Combs showed to the court read.
‘You are sick for thinking it’s OK to do what you’ve done. Please stay far away from me.’

Ventura also spoke of Morgan at another point in the lawsuit against Combs, mentioning a trip to Miami that she took with her friend.
At the time, the duo went on the trip with Combs and music producer Dallas Austin, and took ‘Blue Dolphin’ ecstasy on a boat.
The second week of the music mogul’s trial kicked off Monday after Ventura, his main accuser, concluded her testimony last week.
The 55-year-old is accused of exploiting his status as an entertainment executive to force women, including Cassie, into drug-fueled ‘freak-offs’ with male sex workers and engaged in other abusive acts against people who relied on him for their careers.

On Monday, singer Dawn Richard testified that the hip-hop mogul threatened to kill her if she told anyone that she saw him beat his longtime girlfriend.
In four days on the witness stand last week, Cassie testified that she wanted a loving relationship with Combs during their nearly 11 years together but was instead subjected to weekly drug-fueled “freak-offs” with male sex workers that left her too exhausted and damaged to pursue her music career.
Diddy’s lawyers have argued that he is guilty of domestic violence – which he is not charged with – but innocent of sex trafficking and racketeering.
