A woman was forcibly removed from the courtroom after shouting profanities during Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing federal trial in New York City.
Now in its fourth week, the high-profile sex trafficking case against the music mogul is being heard in the Southern District of New York. The disruption occurred on Tuesday, June 3, shortly after proceedings began.
According to reports, the woman stood up and shouted, “Diddy!” followed by a string of profanities, including, “These motherf—ers are laughing at you,” and, “You’re laughing at a Black man’s legacy.” She also yelled, “Pull your gun out, ninja, I dare you,” before being ordered out by Judge Arun Subramanian.
Combs remained seated during the outburst, which caused a brief delay in testimony from Eddy Garcia, a former security staffer at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles.
Combs faces multiple federal charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty.
The trial has drawn widespread attention, with explosive testimony from celebrities such as Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and Kid Cudi, and now, a dramatic in-court disturbance.
