Tanzanian superstar, Diamond Platnumz, has finally confirmed he’s married to singer Zuchu, but says the main wedding ceremony is still coming.
In a new video interview, Diamond opened up about keeping the marriage private, at least for now.
“So the wedding, the real one, is coming,” he said. “This one was just for family. It was between us. Just a little something. Nobody knew anything.”
Diamond explained he didn’t want his relationship to overshadow his music career, saying fans sometimes mix up real life with entertainment.
“Back in the days, we didn’t want people to know. I didn’t want people to lose focus on my music and start focusing on my relationship,” he added.
He also addressed those who might question his performances with women despite being married.
“You can be married, but you can be committed. I’m an entertainer. If I’m doing a show or shooting with a lady, it’s work. Don’t start asking, ‘What about your wife?’ I’m working here.”
