Cole Palmer has made sure to give one of his teammates credit following Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Liverpool.
Palmer was the star of the show after being heavily involved in his side’s win and scoring their third goal.
Several Chelsea players performed well, but being an attacker, naturally, the 22-year-old is stealing the headlines.
However, Palmer has been quick to highlight the role of another Chelsea star in the team’s latest victory.

Cole Palmer lauds Moises Caicedo
Playing out of position, Moises Caicedo was probably not at his best against Liverpool. For Palmer, though, his impact was still felt.
Speaking to Sky Sports about his own performance and teammate after the game, he said: “Today I felt like myself, felt like I had before recent times. I felt confident, I was trying things — first time passes, playing forwards, playing free. And when you’ve got Caicedo next to you it’s a dream really.
“From the start of the season until now I think he’s been our best player. He’s a machine. He wins everything back, always gives 100% every day, he’s humble, nice to everyone and everyone loves him.”
Palmer is not the only Chelsea star who enjoys playing alongside Caicedo. Romeo Lavia also feels privileged to share the pitch with the Ecuadorian.
After Chelsea’s win against Everton last weekend, Lavia spoke about Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, stating that it was a joy to be in the same team as them.
From a Chelsea perspective, hopefully Lavia can stay fit because he did not do too badly against Liverpool either.
Next up for the Belgian, Palmer, Caicedo and the rest of the Chelsea team in the Premier League is a trip to Newcastle United, who are also fighting for a place in the top five.

Gary Neville thinks Cole Palmer was Chelsea’s best player against Liverpool
While Palmer has heaped praise on Caicedo, Manchester United legend Gary Neville thinks there was only one winner for man of the match: the former Manchester City player.
Neville discussed Palmer’s performance while commentating on the game and said: “Palmer’s change of pace has been a real feature today. He has been the best player on the pitch by an absolute street.”
Chelsea are just fortunate to have both Palmer and Caicedo, who are undoubtedly two of the best players in the Premier League. As they get better and the Blues’ squad gets more experienced, maybe Chelsea can get to where Liverpool are one day.
For now, though, Chelsea are going to have to be content with finishing in the top four or five.
