Chelsea are set to look at strengthening a number of positions on the pitch at the end of the season when the transfer window opens again.
Attack is the main area they will be looking to add to, with it looking as if they can no longer put off adding to Nicolas Jackson as a number nine at Stamford Bridge.
Liam Delap is one of the top targets for the club, however they also have the likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen on the list as they assess their options.
A wide attacker has also been on their list, with them strongly linked to the signing of Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund as he prepares to leave the Bundesliga side this summer.
It looks as if they are also looking closer to home at Premier League clubs for potential reinforcements, with them safe in the knowledge that some may need to sell in order to comply with PSR rules.
Chelsea add Morgan Rogers to transfer shortlist
This could open up the chance to sign a number of otherwise unattainable stars, with one of those being Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers.
According to The Independent, Villa may be one of those sides who need to sell more than they would like this summer, and Chelsea could be prepared to take advantage of this by signing the Premier League star.
The Englishman has eight goals and eight assists in the Premier League this season, whilst also adding another six strikes across succesful runs in the Champions League and FA Cup.
Cole Palmer ‘inspired’ by Morgan Rogers
Rogers would arrive at Stamford Bridge with a good friend waiting to greet him in the form of star man Cole Palmer.
The duo have played together for the Manchester City academy and in England youth sides in the past, and their strong friendship has even stemmed to their celebration after scoring a goal.
Palmer’s now trademark ‘cold’ celebration was actually inspired by Rogers, with the Chelsea man telling the Premier League that he had copied it from the Villa man, when he was playing for Middlesbrough.
He said: “My boy Morgz [Rogers] did one for Middlesbrough, so I told him I’d do it too if I scored.”
Rogers later responded: “Yeah, he definitely copied me! It’s my celebration. Check the timeline, I did it first.
“I’ll let him have it. He’s scored 40 goals or something stupid. Can’t really argue with that, can I?”
