Chelsea fans could learn the fate of Jadon Sancho very soon, with the Blues pushing the winger to make a decision on his future.

Sancho is only at Chelsea on loan, but the club have the option to sign him permanently from Manchester United.

However, before doing so, they want the 25-year-old to agree to a new contract with a lower salary.

Following Chelsea’s 4-1 win against Real Betis in the Conference League final, former Blue Joe Cole discussed Sancho, stating that he wants the Englishman to remain in west London.

Chelsea want Jadon Sancho decision in a few days

While Chelsea may want to keep Sancho at Stamford Bridge, it does not look like they are going to give him forever to make a decision.

The reliable Fabrizio Romano has shared on X that Sancho has just a few days left to strike an agreement with Chelsea, otherwise the Blues will send him back to United.

Not everyone has been impressed with Sancho, so some may not be too disappointed to see the wide man return to Old Trafford.

When Jason Cundy gave his assessment of Sancho‘s time at Chelsea, the former defender claimed that he has not been convinced.

Conference League 8 2 5

Chelsea will only have to pay £25m to sign Sancho permanently, though. It is not a huge fee, especially in today’s market.

Jadon Sancho’s Conference League final performance

Sancho would have won over some of his doubters after his cameo in the Conference League final. The England international played just 30 minutes of the match but still managed to make a huge impact.

He scored the goal that took the game away from Betis, and it was a really impressive shot. His xG was only 0.03, showing just how difficult that chance actually was.

It may have been enough to convince Chelsea to retain his services. But if the former Borussia Dortmund man wants to remain part of Enzo Maresca‘s squad, he is going to have to agree to a pay cut and very soon.
