Chelsea could be about to sign one of the most exciting attackers in the Premier League.

Chelsea want to sign a new striker this summer and are being linked with several different names.

The Chelsea Chronicle has been told that Chelsea are eyeing Benjamin Sesko and others ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, the Blues could also strengthen in the positions behind the centre-forward, which could mean a raid on one of their London rivals.

Chelsea set to make move for Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze

Chelsea were interested in signing Eberechi Eze last year, and it looks like the Crystal Palace star is still on their radar.

According to journalist Simon Phillips, everyone at Chelsea likes Eze and the club will “reach out” about a move this summer.

In a recent post on his Substack Si Phillips Talks Chelsea, Phillips wrote: “I’ve now had it confirmed by two top sources that he is still a target for this summer and actually, he has been spoken about just this week as Chelsea look to potentially make a move to sign him this coming window.

“Eze is a player universally liked at Chelsea and the club feel he is more gettable now this summer and will reach out about a move.”

Chelsea could find themselves short in the No.10 position heading into the 2025/26 season. Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix are likely to depart the club, which would leave Cole Palmer as the only real option for the role.

Nkunku has reportedly been offered to Juventus, while Felix has been linked with a move to Flamengo, where former Chelsea defender Felipe Luis now manages.

However, South American journalists doubt Felix will join Flamengo for various reasons.

Eberechi Eze’s stats this season

In Palace’s squad, Eze has the most assists during this Premier League campaign with eight.

The 26-year-old has also scored seven goals, meaning that Jean-Philippe Mateta is the only player at Palace to have netted more times than him. When it comes to dribbles completed per game, though, Eze comes out on top.

Appearances 32
Goals 7

All in all, Chelsea would be getting a very exciting attacker if they managed to land Eze, who looks attainable.

Last September, the Daily Mail reported that Eze has a £68m release clause in his contract that will become active this summer. It is a boost for Chelsea and anyone else who is interested in the England international.
