Frank Leboeuf is particularly excited with one piece of Chelsea transfer speculation.
The transfer rumour mill seems extremely busy right now, especially with Chelsea news.
It was claimed that Chelsea wanted two new signings before the Club World Cup to help them with the summer tournament. Blues head coach Enzo Maresca will be bidding for his second piece of silverware at the club after winning the Conference League in May.
Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap will join Chelsea on a six-year deal, but the club’s supporters are still waiting for official confirmation.
Delap is not the only individual strongly linked with a move to West London, though.
Frank Leboeuf gives thumbs up on Mike Maignan to Chelsea rumour
Frank Leboeuf, the former Blues defender, thinks AC Milan’s Mike Maignan would be a great signing for Chelsea this summer amid transfer links.
He told ESPN: “As much as I like him (Maignan), and I think he will fit perfectly to Chelsea, if Chelsea have decided to give an exception in their trading business system, I think they need a new Thiago Silva. If they decide to go for Mike, that is a very good decision because the guy is a real good goalkeeper… I think he will be very useful to Chelsea.”
Milan goalkeeper Maignan, 29, has been heavily linked with a possible move to Stamford Bridge recently.
Maignan is interested in joining Chelsea after the Premier League side expressed their interest in him. Apparently, Milan are demanding £25m for Maignan, who’s been a key player at the San Siro for four years.

Chelsea wanted Mike Maignan five years ago
It may feel like a long time coming if Maignan does eventually join Chelsea this summer.
Back in the 2020 summer transfer window, Chelsea lined up an offer to sign Maignan when he was still in France playing for Lille. He earned a great reputation in Ligue 1 before his move to Serie A a year later.
If you skip to the 2023 summer transfer window, Chelsea submitted a bid for Maignan to try sign him from Milan, but he stayed put at the San Siro.
The 29-year-old gloveman feels like the experienced player in between the sticks that supporters have been crying out for, but it’s worth noting there are already a lot of goalkeepers on Chelsea’s books.
