Chelsea players, staff and fans were in a party mood when the final whistle was blown on their season at the City Ground.

The Blues qualified for next season’s Champions League thanks to a huge win away from home against Nottingham Forest, snapping their bad run on the road at the perfect time.

Levi Colwill scored the only goal of the game, and easily his biggest since earning promotion from the academy to the first team squad.

The Blues will now be in the conversation to sign the best players in the league, as they can now offer the top level of European football to anyone they want to bring to Stamford Bridge.

Kendry Paez celebrates Chelsea win vs Nottingham Forest

Chelsea already know that they have a number of talented young players joining their club, with one of those being Kendry Paez.

The Ecuador international has already become a regular for the starting side for his country alongside Moises Caicedo, and it will not be long until Chelsea fans get a look at the promising young talent.

It is clear that the achievements of the Blues this season have been a massive positive as far as Paez has been concerned, with him going live on his Instagram page chanting about Chelsea being in the Champions League.

His celebrations mimicked those that went on in the away dressing room, as Enzo Maresca led the youngest team in the league’s history to reach their goals.

Kendry Paez’s Chelsea future

Paez is one of a number of young talents who are set to join the Blues in the coming weeks. Estevao Willian will also be arriving, and is set to be part of the first team squad.

The future is a little less clear for the Ecuador star. Fabrizio Romano has predicted Paez will go on loan this season in order to gain experience at the top level.

It is likely that Strasbourg will be in the conversation to take the youngster for the season, given how successful Santos’ time there was this season.
