It may not cost too much money for Chelsea to solve their left-wing conundrum in the transfer window.
Chelsea started the season with Jadon Sancho and Mykhailo Mudryk as their main two options for the left flank.
There is a possibility of Sancho returning to Manchester United, though, while Mudryk is currently suspended.
As a result, the Blues are looking at a bunch of different wingers. Chelsea have been linked with Nico Williams, Alejandro Garnacho and a couple of other left-sided attackers who could replace Sancho or Mudryk.
Alejandro Garnacho could cost just £40m
The Chelsea Chronicle has been told that Garnacho is still a target for Chelsea after the Blues considered signing him during the January transfer window.
It was thought that Garnacho would cost £66m this summer, but it appears that the Conference League winners could get him for much less.
According to The Guardian, the Argentina international is expected to cost just £40m, which is good news for Chelsea and other suitors.
Despite being one of United’s better performers this season, Garnacho is not wanted by Ruben Amorim. It has been widely reported that Amorim is trying to offload the wide attacker.
Garnacho has come up with 21 goal contributions in 58 appearances for the Red Devils this term, which is not a terrible return given the club’s struggles.
Alejandro Garnacho deal could be very similar to Cole Palmer’s
A lot of Chelsea fans are not too keen on Garnacho, but at £40m, he could be a real bargain. All things considered, the deal would not be too dissimilar to Cole Palmer‘s.
It cost roughly the same amount to sign Palmer from a rival team and not too many Chelsea supporters were excited about his arrival, not knowing much about the former Manchester City youth player.
Garnacho is a more established footballer than Palmer was when he joined Chelsea and still has so much time to develop even more at the age of 20.
For £40m and with his potential, Garnacho is definitely worth taking a punt on. Chelsea did it with Palmer and look at how that has worked out.
