Nigeria’s most capped international, Ahmed Musa, is set to return to the Super Eagles as captain for the upcoming Unity Cup Four-Nation Tournament in London.

The announcement was made on Monday by Musa’s club, Kano Pillars, via a post on their official X account.

“Captain Ahmed Musa is set to lead the Super Eagles at the Unity Cup Four-Nation Tourney from May 26 31, 2025, at Brentford Stadium, London,” the statement read.

Musa has been in impressive form this season, recording eight goals and two assists in the 2024/25 NPFL campaign for Kano Pillars.

Although the NFF has yet to unveil the official squad list for the tournament, the Super Eagles are expected to feature a majority of home based players.

With 109 international appearances and 16 goals, he stands as a prominent figure in Nigerian football and was a key member of the squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria will line up alongside Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago in the four-nation tournament.

The Super Eagles will begin their campaign against Ghana on Tuesday, May 27.
